Building a pool doesn’t have to feel confusing. We’ll walk you through every step and keep you informed from start to finish.
On-Site Consultation And Design Discovery
Every great pool design starts with understanding the space and the people who will use it. That’s why our process begins with an on-site visit to your home. Seeing your backyard in person allows us to evaluate layout, access, elevation, and other key details that shape what’s possible, and what should be ruled out early.
It’s also our chance to hear what you’re really dreaming about. We’ll talk through how you want to use the space, what styles you’re drawn to, and what features matter most to your family. Feel free to bring inspiration photos or ideas, we love helping you connect the dots between what you’re imagining and what will work beautifully in your yard.
This step sets the foundation for a design that feels intentional, functional, and truly tailored to you.
Custom Design And Plan Review
Once we’ve seen your space and talked through what you’re envisioning, our team gets to work bringing it to life. We take everything we learned during your consultation and create a custom pool design that fits your backyard, your lifestyle, and the features that matter most to you.
When the initial design is ready, we’ll walk through it with you in a design review. This is where we fine-tune the details, adjust layout or features, and make sure everything feels right before moving forward. We want you to feel confident, excited, and completely aligned with the plan.
Once the design feels like your dream come true, we’ll send over your contract and collect your deposit to officially reserve your project and move into the next phase.
Permitting And Construction Begins
Once your contract is signed and your deposit is in place, we move into the action phase. Our team will handle the permitting process and keep things moving behind the scenes so you don’t have to worry about the paperwork or the details.
After permits are approved, construction begins with excavation and preparation of your backyard. From there, we start building the foundation of your pool, including key structural components like support steel, plumbing, and the framework needed to bring the design to life. If you need soil injection or heliospheres to help make your structure more stable, this will be done at that time. Electrical work is also coordinated during this phase to ensure everything is properly planned and installed.
At this point, your pool will begin to take real shape. For vinyl liner pools, the liner installation happens during this stage. For gunite pools, this is when we begin the gunite application process. Either way, this is where the vision starts becoming reality, and we’ll keep you informed as each major milestone is completed.
Finishing Touches And Final Details
This is the stage where everything comes together. Once the main structure is complete, we install your pool equipment, complete decking, and take care of the final construction details that bring the space to life. For gunite pools, this is when plasterwork is completed, giving your pool its finished look and feel.
It’s also when the details that make your backyard unique come into focus. Clean-up, finish work, and final adjustments happen during this phase so the space feels polished and ready to enjoy. If your project includes landscaping or outdoor living features, this is when those elements are installed and tied seamlessly into the overall design.
This is the moment when your backyard stops looking like a project and starts feeling like the place you’ve been imagining all along.
Pool School And Ongoing Support
Before we hand things over, we make sure you feel confident as a pool owner. We believe understanding how to care for your pool and equipment matters just as much as the build itself, which is why the final step is something we affectionately call pool school.
During this walkthrough, we’ll show you how your equipment works, talk through basic pool care, and explain what ongoing maintenance looks like. We’ll also review warranties, answer your questions, and make sure you know exactly how to reach us if you need support down the road.
Then it’s time to slow down, soak it in, and enjoy every moment of your new pool!
